Never Apart

Régis Souto · Mixed media on wood panel · 10 × 10 in (25.4 × 25.4 cm) · 2026

Two bodies merge and pull apart at the same time, still tied by threads of light. This is the first painting of the series, and in it I speak of the moment we realize there is more than one self living inside us.

The one who takes charge, the one who respects, the one who cries when it needs to, the one who gives way, the one who works. And the one who can notice itself in the middle of all the others.
