Cardiac
Régis Souto · Oil on canvas · 36 × 36 in (91.4 × 91.4 cm) · 2026
Here, the change begins inside. Hands arrive from every side to hold the chest, where a single point of light sits.
I think of the heart chakra as the place that keeps what has been with us since we were born. At twenty, at thirty, at forty, at fifty, the image we hold of ourselves goes through breaks. In each phase we see ourselves another way and learn to accept ourselves another way. That new perception is what lets us go after experiences we may never have imagined for ourselves.
