The Body Keeps the Record
What Survives the Crossing.
Régis Souto — Queer Brazilian Figurative Painter, Toronto
Pride · Toronto · June 2026
MORPHING
featuring Pinkity Twinkity · 16×20 · Mixed media on canvas
Queer resilience, painted. A new work navigating transformation, visibility, and the body — part of Régis Souto's ongoing dialogue between identity and survival.
Régis Souto works in oil, mixed media, and digital — building images where memory becomes material. Brazilian-born, Toronto-based, queer. His paintings navigate the distance between who we were and who we insist on becoming: tropical birds suspended against black fields, carnival faces outlined by choice, bodies negotiating between discipline and desire.
Painting as a frontier. Identity as movement.
Solo Exhibition · The Show Gallery · April 2026
