Two hummingbirds meet beak to beak in the dark — one hangs head-down from the top of the sheet, the other rises to meet it — emerald, teal and cobalt worked wet-into-wet, tails fanned out in sharp diagonal strokes. PDF misprints the title as "Humminbirds"; the painting itself is exact where the typo isn't.
